Tobacco Swamps are areas with a glut of tobacco retailers.
For the best experience, please view the dashboard from a desktop or laptop.
This interactive dashboard has maps for all 30 cities represented in the ASPiRE Community Advisory Board. It uses GIS to calculate the density of retailers and the distance from households to retailers under various policy scenarios. Tobacco control programs and other stakeholders can compare how policies might affect proximity to retailers and overall density.
Choose a city to view tobacco retailers at baseline, then choose a policy and compare current and projected proximity to retailers for residents. Use the Density & Disparities tab to see tobacco retailer density and priority populations. Choose policies and view projected changes in disparities. Note that the dashboard may take a few moments to load.
