Tobacco retailer density and its association with birth outcomes in the USA: 2000-2016

An ASPiRE team that included Chris Baggett, Kurt Ribisl, and Shelley Golden looked at the relationship between tobacco retailer density and birth outcomes across the USA and predicted the potential impact of a tobacco retailer density cap. The study found higher rates of adverse birth outcomes in counties with higher retail density, providing support for regulation of tobacco retail density to reduce harmful health outcomes from tobacco use.
