The ASPiRE team is comprised of tobacco control researchers and staff from several academic institutions who make up our three research projects and three shared resource cores. The leaders of our research teams have worked successfully together for more than 20 years.
Our team’s work is enhanced by input and guidance from our Community Advisory Board (CAB), comprising tobacco control staff from 30 large U.S. cities, representatives from several tobacco control organizations and agencies, and legal experts. Read more about the CAB.
Key personnel include faculty and staff from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Stanford University, Washington University in St Louis, the Brookings Institution, East Carolina University, and the University of Kentucky. Our team members have training in biostatistics, communication, epidemiology, evaluation research, health behavior, medicine, public policy, spatial statistics, public health law, and three areas of psychology.
