Tobacco-free pharmacies may encourage smokers to quit
A new paper co-authored by our ASPiRE CAB Chair, Maggie Mahoney, reported findings from research in the wake of the CVS drug store chain’s decision to stop selling tobacco products in 2014. The study found that quit attempts increased in areas with a high density of CVS locations. The study was published Nov. 21 in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
